Brian Gary – Bail Out Bill is unconstitutional…does anyone care?

Article 1, Section 7 of the Constitution says: “All bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives;”

Simply put, that means the $770 billion revenue raising bailout bill needs to originate in the House and that it’s unconstitutional for the Senate to try and pass this bill before the House does.

Does that make any difference to our elected officials? Obviously not.

Of course the Senate is essentially taking up the House-version of the bill and making the $700 billion Paulson plan an amendment to, aptly enough, a mental health and addiction bill, H.R. 1424

A mental health and addiction bill…I guess that makes sense doesn’t it?  Our mentally challenged and power addicted government can do anything they want simply by scaring the pants of the country.  Control the press, control the populace.

Most of my real estate and mortgage counterparts are actually excited by this bill.  It amazes me how short sighted everyone is and how everyone just follows like sheep.   They could care less if this bill is unconstitutional, or is horrible for the dollar, or is terrible for the future of our country.  Just take care of me NOW appears to be the common thinking.

Funny thing is… nobody is offereing to help bail out our individual real estate business’ that are struggling!  Let’s just bail out large banks that made poor choices.  Yea…that makes sense!  Truly a screw the little guy and bail out the big fools!

Ok, so this is really more of a Homes That Rock rant and truly sorry about that, but I’m sad for our country.  Just another example of how we truly don’t live under the constitution…as if we needed more proof!
